I moved to Oakland from San Francisco about 12 years ago and I still have yet to embrace this place. I'm having a hard time accepting the fact that I am the bridge and tunnel crowd that most SF'ers complain about. But living 1.5 miles from where I work, having my own garage (for all five bikes of mine), my own washer/dryer, and no roommates is well worth not living in the city...I think. A couple of "city" friends sent me this video as a laugh. Though I'm only 7 miles from the city, most of my city friends think they need a passport and that they have to hop on a plane to get to Oakland. Enjoy getting to know Oakland through this video.
I'm basically interested in all things funny, health and triathlon related, and sustainable living. This blog used to accompany a website I built to raise awareness about cancer as well as raise money for different causes.
