High: 75 mile ride this past Saturday to Pt. Reyes and the Bovine Bakery with my college roommate, who I reconnected with when he hit me up on Strava. The weather was near perfect, sunny and in the high 60's. I followed the ride up with a brick run along the coast and a view of the Golden Gate Bridge. And then it was off for a shake down swim and dinner at one of my favorite places, Samovar.
Low: I bought this new sunblock and got some in my eye on Sunday, and I've been dealing with a chemical burn ever since. After my track workout on Tuesday, I hit the weight room and noticed a slight pain down in the nether region around my groin, similar to the discomfort I had during the pissing blood injury. Since then, I've been experiencing those same symptoms, frequent urination, frequent urge to urinate, and sleepless nights due to discomfort.
I'm reminded of what I used to tell my volleyball players during games, "No highs and lows, just keep it even and steady."
