Berlin, Tallinn, Helsinki

After Copenhagen, I made my way around the Baltic Sea visiting Berlin, Tallin (Estonia), and Helsinki. Berlin had a lot of history; the entire city of Tallin is wifi'ed and some of the best computer techies in the world come from Estonia (who knew); and while running in Helsinki, I was reminded of one of the greatest ironman racers when I was in my early twenties, Pauli Kiuru. My favorite way to explore a city is to do a long run. You get to cover so much more ground than walking, and you get to explore trails and paths that cannot be covered in a car. And 10 miles go by so fast when you are exploring a new city. The sunrise picture over the Baltic reminded me of a Rothko painting, and the last picture was taken at the Holocaust Museum in Berlin, where there was an installation projecting names in memory of those killed during the genocide.
